Increasingly noted for her convincing portrayals and warm, yet powerful voice, Carelle Flores recently debuted with Palm Beach Opera as Musetta LA BOHÈME and Barbarina LE NOZZE DI FIGARO.  She was delighted to return to Sarasota Opera in 2011 to reprise the role of Musetta LA BOHÈME and take part in their production of THE CRUCIBLE.  Ms. Flores was named a Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Semi-Finalist for 2009, as well as a Regional Finalist in 2007. She has also appeared as Mimi LA BOHÈME with Ashlawn Opera Festival and as Adele DIE FLEDERMAUS with Sarasota Opera, where she also covered the role of Susanna LE NOZZE DI FIGARO. Other credits include Lucia cover in Donizetti’s LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR with Virginia Opera, Countess Ceprano and Page in Verdi’s RIGOLETTO with Opera Carolina, Mimi with Florida Grand Opera’s ‘In-School Opera’ tour of LA BOHÈME, and Mimi at Indiana University, where she also sang the roles of Constanze in Mozart’s ABDUCTION FROM THE SERAGLIO and Maria in Bernstein’s WEST SIDE STORY.
