Of a recent performance by American mezzo-soprano Deborah Domanski, Antony Tommasini of The New York Times commented, “[she] sings the courageous Zenobia with luscious sound and lyrical refinement.” Ms. Domanski assumed the role of Zenobia in the Santa Fe Opera’s production of Handel’s RADAMISTO in 2008.  Ms. Domanski performed the role of Signora Guidotti in the Santa Fe Opera’s production of THE TIMID TWOSOME.  In the 2011-2012 season she sang the title role of Offenbach’s LA PÉRICHOLE with the Amarillo Opera.  In 2012/13 she debuted as Rosina IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA with Michigan Opera Theatre and with New Orleans Opera.   The same season she sang Komponist in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS with St Petersburg Opera and covered Susan Graham at Santa Fe Opera as the title role in GRAND DUCHESS OF GEROLSTEIN, and Rosina IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA with Opera Naples.  The 2014/15 season includes Sesto LA CLEMENZA DI TITO with Opera in the Heights and Orfeo ORFEO ED EURIDICE with the New Mexico Philharmonic.
