Abroad his important debuts have included the Teatro Comunale, Modena where he appeared as Guglielmo COSI FAN TUTTE, Il Conte LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, and the title-role DON GIOVANNI; Teatro Verdi, Pisa appearing as Malatesta DON PASQUALE, Ottone L’INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA, Guglielmo COSI FAN TUTTE, Il Conte LE NOZZE DI FIGARO and Dandini LA CENERENTOLA (also at Michigan Opera); Flanders Opera performing Patroclus KING PRIAM; the Concertgebouw where he sang Apollo ALCESTE; and at the Athens Concert Hall where he sang Il Conte LE NOZZE DI FIGARO. Other roles include Athanaël THAÏS, Rodolfo LA SONNAMBULA, Haly L’ITALIANA IN ALGERI for Seattle Opera, Don Profundo IL VIAGGIO A REIMS, Jesus Johannes Passion for The Israeli Opera and has also appeared in Nice, Nancy, Göttingen, Karlsruhe and for RAI UNO, Torino.
For John Eliot Gardiner and Philips he has recorded Aeneas DIDO AND AENEAS and Pallante AGRIPPINA after concert tours throughout Europe. He has also recorded Dichterliebe and Liederkreis Op. 39 for Collins Classics and a world premiere recording of John Taverner’s Eternity’s Sunrise with the Academy of Ancient Music for Harmonia Mundi which was nominated for a Grammy in Los Angeles in 2000.
George Mosley appears regularly on the concert platform, where in addition to the mainstream oratorios, he has also given performances of Vaughan Williams Five Mystical Songs, Sancta Civitas and Sea Symphony, Pater Ecstaticus Mahler Symphony No. 8 and Jesus The Apostles by Elgar.
He has sung Albert WERTHER for Beijing Festival; Carmina Burana at the Queen Elizabeth Hall; and the title- role HAMLET, Duke of Albany LEAR; Fred Graham KISS ME KATE for Teatro Regio Torino (a role he repeated at Teatro Massimo di Palermo). IL BANCHETTO (Marcello Panni) in Florence and Rome, Germont LA TRAVIATA for Lyric Opera Productions, Dublin, the title-role of DON GIOVANNI, Ramiro L’HEURE ESPAGNOLE, Count Oscar BARBE BLEUE (Offenbach) for Grange Park Opera as well as Sharpless MADAMA BUTTERFLY, Falke DIE FLEDERMAUS and Schaunard LA BOHEME in Hong Kong. He created the role of Joseph K in the world premier of IL PROCESSO by Alberto Colla at the Teatro Strehler for La Scala, Milan and at Reggio Emilia; in IL LETTO DELLA STORIA at Teatro Maggio Musicale di Firenze; Bill AUFSTIEG UND FALL DER STADT MAHAGONNY in Rome and Junius RAPE OF LUCRETIA for Teatro Romola Valli, Reggio Emila, Teatro Comunale di Modena e Teatro Regio di Parma and in Stravinsky’s FLOOD and L’ENFANT ET LES SORTIGLEGES at Teatro delle Muse, Ancona.
He sang Don Pedro MARIA PADILLA at Buxton Festival and toured Spain with the English Chamber Orchestra singing the Messiah and also performing the work 8 times with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington. More recently he appeared as Count CAPRICCIO for the New York City Opera; the title-role in DIDO AND AENEAS on tour with the State Opera of Novosibirsk, in Lugo and for the Teatro Comunale di Bologna; L’Aubergiste CHERUBIN at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (also on DVD); FLOOD and L’ENFANT ET LES SORTILEGES in Bari and Thoas IPHIGENIE EN TAURIDE for the Beethoven Festival; DIE RUINEN VON ATHEN with the Dresden Symphony Orchestra. Future engagements include Quince MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM for The Israeli Opera and Splendiano DJAMILEH (Bizet) for the Beethoven Festival, Warsaw.
