George Mosley

george-mosley-photoSince winning first prize at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg, George Mosley has performed with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden as Dancairo CARMEN; with the English National Opera as Yamadori MADAMA BUTTERFLY, Marco GIANNI SCHICCHI, Sportsman FENNIMORE AND GERDA, The Duke of Albany LEAR and Henry THE FAIRY QUEEN; with Scottish Opera as Orlofsky DIE FLEDERMAUS, Schaunard LA BOHEME and Papageno DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE; and with Opera North, Patroclus KING PRIAM and Father Wolf BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP which was also broadcast on BBC Television.

Abroad his important debuts have included the Teatro Comunale, Modena where he appeared as Guglielmo COSI FAN TUTTE, Il Conte LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, and the title-role DON GIOVANNI; Teatro Verdi, Pisa appearing as Malatesta DON PASQUALE, Ottone L’INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA, Guglielmo COSI FAN TUTTE, Il Conte LE NOZZE DI FIGARO and Dandini LA CENERENTOLA (also at Michigan Opera); Flanders Opera performing Patroclus KING PRIAM; the Concertgebouw where he sang Apollo ALCESTE; and at the Athens Concert Hall where he sang Il Conte LE NOZZE DI FIGARO.  Other roles include Athanaël THAÏS, Rodolfo LA SONNAMBULA, Haly L’ITALIANA IN ALGERI for Seattle Opera, Don Profundo IL VIAGGIO A REIMS, Jesus Johannes Passion for The Israeli Opera and has also appeared in Nice, Nancy, Göttingen, Karlsruhe and for RAI UNO, Torino.
