Michelle Daly

Headshot3Dublin born Michelle began her performing career in the festival competitions and concert halls throughout Ireland. She continued her studies in the UK at the Royal North College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she obtained a master’s degree in vocal performance. Michelle made her Royal Opera House debut as Ninetta in the new Olivier Award winning production of Verdi’s LES VEPRES SICILIENNES conducted by Antonio Pappano and directed by Stefan Herheim. She covered the role of Pisana in Verdi’s I DUE FOSCARI starring Placido Domingo. Other roles at the ROH include Third Nymph (cover) in Dvorak’s RUSALKA, Third Innocent (cover) in Birtwistle’s THE MINOTAUR and Anna (cover) in the David McVicar Production of Berlioz’s LES TROYENS. Recent performances include Dorabella COSI FAN TUTTE at the 2016 Lismore Opera Festival. Other experience includes Dorabella COSI FAN TUTTE for the 2014 Windsor festival, Polly Peacham THE BEGGARS OPERA for the European Opera Centre with the Liverpool Philharmonic and Cornelia GIULIO CESARE for the COR as part of the 2013 Bloomsbury Festival.
