California native Peter Lindskoog made his Los Angeles Opera debut as Scarpia TOSCA in their celebrated 2005 production and has since reprised the role with Tulsa Opera, Opera Southwest, the Jefferson Performing Arts Center in New Orleans and as cover with San Francisco Opera.  Last season he portrayed the brutish Oscar Hubbard in Utah Opera’s production of Blitzstein REGINA conducted by Keith Lockhart.  Of this performance it was noted by one reviewer that, “Peter Lindskoog as Oscar gave a stand out performance that should not be missed.” Also in 2008-2009 he performed his first Enrico Ashton LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR with Opera Southwest as well as his company debut at Seattle Opera as the Old Servant and Orestes cover in ELEKTRA.  During the 2007-2008 season Mr. Lindskoog made his European debut as Germont LA TRAVIATA with the Macedonian National Opera in Skopje and debuted with Arizona Opera as Frank DIE FLEDERMAUS.  Last season included a reprisal of the role of Germont LA TRAVIATA with Tulsa Opera and a return to Utah Opera as the Father HANSEL AND GRETEL.  His roles last season included Owen Hart DEAD MAN WALKING and Amonasro AIDA for Tulsa Opera and Sharpless MADAMA BUTTERFLY for Shreveport Opera.  Future roles include the High Priest SAMSON ET DALILAH For Tulsa Opera.

Recent engagements include a title role debut as RIGOLETTO with Opera Southwest and Bosun BILLY BUDD for Pittsburgh Opera, a company debut with Utah Opera as Barone Douphol LA TRAVIATA, the roles of the Musikmeister ARIADNE AUF NAXOS with Tulsa Opera, Dr. Falke DIE FLEDERMAUS with Opera Grand Rapids, Sharpless MADAMA BUTTERFLYwith Tulsa Opera, the Forester THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN with Tulsa Opera and covering the role with San Francisco Opera, Germont LA TRAVIATA with Opera Southwest, Figaro LE NOZZE DI FIGARO with Knoxville Opera and Marcello LA BOHÈME with Tulsa Opera, Opera Memphis and Shreveport Opera.

Other operatic roles Mr. Lindskoog has performed includes Figaro and Count Almaviva LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Ford FALSTAFF, Dr. Malatesta DON PASQUALE, Tonio I PAGLIACCI, Michele IL TABARRO, the title role in GIANNI SCHICCHI, Belcore L’ELISIR D’AMORE and Lorenzo in Bellini I CAPULETI E I MONTECCHI.  He has also performed the roles of Alidoro LA CENERENTOLA, General Boum LA GRANDE DUCHESSE DE GEROLSTEIN, Biterolf TANNHÄUSER, Masetto DON GIOVANNI, MoralesCARMEN and de Brétigny MANON.

Highlights of Peter’s symphonic and concert repertoire includes Mendelssohn Elijah, Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem, Orff Carmina Burana, Handel Messiah, Beethoven Symphony No. 9, Haydn The Creation, Mozart Requiem and Verdi Missa da Requiem. Mr. Lindskoog also sang in a series of concerts recently with the Pacific Symphony in California.

Mr. Lindskoog received his undergraduate training at Chapman University where he studied voice, conducting and percussion.  He also holds a Master of Music Degree in Voice and Opera Performance from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.

Repeatedly receiving commendations for his superb singing, stage presence, and expressive musicianship, Opera News described his voice as a “handsome, fine-grained baritone”.
