demand in opera houses and on concert stage throughout the world. Last autumn he toured with Royal Opera house in the title role\u00a0<strong><em>MACBETH<\/em><\/strong>. He recently<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>sang his first<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Holl\u00e4nder\u00a0<strong><em>DIE FLIEGENDE HOLL\u00c4NDER<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>for \u00d2pera Royal de Wallonie. In a performance at Wiener Staatsoper as Stankar in\u00a0<strong><em>STIFFELIO<\/em><\/strong><strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0the Wiener Zeitung declared:\u00a0\u00a0<em><strong>\u201c<\/strong><\/em><em>The star of this opera\u00a0evening was neither on the stage nor in the orchestra pit. The revival of Verdi\u2019s \u201cStiffelio\u201d became, at the state opera, the unexpected triumph for a singer, that did not act the role in this evening at all: Mark Rucker was at the edge of stage and sang Stankar from a music stand \u2026 The big aria of Stankar at the beginning of the third act was one of those moments, which constitutes the wonder of opera. Owing to the strength of the music, the magic of the moment and vocal intensity, Mark Rucker was able to construct excitement.
