Natalya Pavlova

NPavlovaSoprano Natalya Pavlova is a rising star of the Mariinsky Theatre.  She has worked under the guidance of such musicians as Valery Gergiev, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Vladimir Spivakov, Teodor Currentzis, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Fuat Mansurov, Ennio Morricone and Yuri Bashmet.   Her repertoire onstage at the Mariinsky includes Violetta LA TRAVIATA, Mimi LA BOHEME, Marguerite FAUST, Micaëla CARMEN, title-role RUSALKA, Tatyana EUGENE ONEGIN, Tamara in Rubenstein’s THE DEMON, Marfa THE TSAR’S BRIDE, Donna Anna DON GIOVANNI, Title-role IOLANTA and Nastasia Filippovna in Weinberg’s THE IDIOT.  She performs regularly in concert and semi-staged productions of Soviet operas, including Gemma in Spadavecchia’s LETTER TO A STRANGER, Lisa Brichkina in Molchanov’s DAWNS HERE ARE QUIET, Natalya in Khrennikov’s INTO THE STORM, Natasha in Shchedrin’s NOT ONLY LOVE and Suzanne in Shostakovich’s ORANGO.  Other repertoire includes the Title-roles in the mono-operas including Spadavecchia’s LETTER FROM AN UNKNOWN WOMAN, Klinchev’s ANNA AKHMATOVA and Frid’s THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK.

Ms. Pavlova has toured performing in the United States of America, North Korea, Poland, Germany, Italy, England, Spain and France. In 2010 she recorded the album Songs from the Front (featuring the songs of Dmitry Shostakovich) released by Toccata Classics.
