Recent engagements include CARMINA BURANA with the Utah, Fargo-Moorhead and Allentown Symphonies, Carl Magnus A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC with Syracuse Opera, Marcello LA BOHÈME with Opera Birmingham, Danilo THE MERRY WIDOW with The Northern Lights Music Festival and Jochanaan SALOME at Madison Lyric Stage. Mr. Womack is privileged to have performed both Marcello and Schaunard in the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of LA BOHÈME under the direction of Baz Luhrmann. In recent seasons he has been heard as Peron EVITA for Opera North (US), Giorgio Germont in Knoxville Opera’s LA TRAVIATA, Macheath THE THREEPENNY OPERA with Amarillo Opera, Sharpless MADAMA BUTTERFLY with Sarasota Opera, Guglielmo in Skylight Opera Theater’s COSÌ FAN TUTTE, Henry Higgins in Opera North’s MY FAIR LADY, the title-role DON GIOVANNI with both Utah Festival Opera and Anchorage Opera, Friedrich Bhaer LITTLE WOMEN  with Syracuse Opera, Marcello LA BOHÈME and Enrico LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR with Chatanooga Symphony and Opera, Escamillo CARMENwith Utah Festival Opera, Count Almaviva LE NOZZE DI FIGARO with Mississippi Opera, Lescaut MANON LESCAUT with Dicapo Opera Theater and numerous appearances with Connecticut Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, El Paso Opera and Des Moines Metro Opera.

Concert credits include ZAZÁ and I GIOIELLI DELLA MADONNA at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, Schubert’s Mass In G, Mozart’s Mass In C Minor, Arwell Hughes’ Dewi Sant, Bach’s St. John Passion and Requiem Masses, Britten’s Dona Nobis PacemCarmina Burana with Kentucky Symphony, A Salute To Gilbert And Sullivan with The New Jersey Symphony, and Home For The Holidays with Opera Birmingham and the Fauré and Duruflé Requiems at Carnegie Hall.  Active on the Pops concert circuit, Womack has appeared with the Toronto, Seattle, Portland, Edmonton, New Haven and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras.

On the musical theater stage Mark has performed Billy Bigelow CAROUSEL, Edward Rutledge 1776, Sky Masterson GUYS AND DOLLS, Captain Von Trapp THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Curly OKLAHOMA and Joseph Cable SOUTH PACIFIC.  Operetta credits include the Pirate King PIRATES OF PENZANCE, Captain Corcoran H.M.S. PINAFORE, Grosvenor PATIENCE, François Villon THE VAGABOND KING and The Red Shadow THE DESERT SONG.

A native of Oklahoma, Mark attended The University of Tulsa where he received a Master and Bachelor degrees in voice and education.  He continued his vocal training with Doctoral Studies at The University of Connecticut followed by Post-Graduate work at Boston University’s Opera Institute.
