Operatic highlights include covering in THE NOSE with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, creating the role of Bass 3 in the world premiere of Stockhausen’s MITTWOCH AUS LICHT with Birmingham Opera Company and again later at the BBC Proms, and joining the 2015 Glyndebourne Chorus for their productions of Donizetti’s POLIUTO and Bizet’s CARMEN. The past year has seen him perform the roles of Bartolo in Mozart’s LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, the Headman in MAY NIGHT by Rimsky-Korsakov and Seneca in Monteverdi’s L’INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA with Royal Academy Opera, and he has just made his German operatic debut in Weimar, performing Sarastro in Mozart’s DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE.
Timothy also performs in oratorios around the UK and Europe. Highlights include ten performances of Handel’s Messiah in a production staged by Le Ballet de l’Opéra National de Bordeaux in Bordeaux Opera House, and he is looking forward to performing the Messiah again in Wexford Opera House, and Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium in Kristiansand, Norway, this December.
He has received generous support from the Carr-Gregory Scholarship, Karaviotis Scholarship, William Gibbs Trust and the Josephine Baker Trust. Timothy’s passion for music is accompanied by a great enthusiasm for tennis and bookbinding.
