Karolina Plicková

DSC_6162Czech Soprano Karolína Plicková was born in Prague. She studied at the Prague Conservatory on the young talent department and continued her studies in opera, song and oratorio at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg where she succesfully graduated in 2010. Karolina made her UK debut in the virtuoso role of Cinna in Mozart’s LUCIO SILLA at the Buxton Festival, conducted by Laurence Cummings. Upcoming engagements include Simone Mayr’s BELLE CIARLE E TRISTI FATTI in Ingolstadt and the title-role IPHIGENIE IN AULIDE for the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre.

Between  2009-2013  Karolina was a regular ensemble member at the  Landestheater Salzburg, where her roles included Susanna LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Ännchen DER FREISCHUTZ, the title-role Marcello’s ARIANA, Adina L’ELISIR D’AMORE, Zerlina DON GIOVANNI, Pamina DIE ZAUBERFLOTE, Ginevra ARIODANTE. In the 2010-2011 season she  received  a special audience award “Artist of the year” for her singing and acting qualities.  In the summer  of 2015, Karolina debuted as RUSALKA in Munich’s “Pasinger Fabrik” and inthe 2016 season, Karolina  returned to the Pasinger Fabrik  as Hélène in Offenbach’s operetta LA BELLE HELENE.
