Karolina Plicková

thumbnail_DSC_6162Czech Soprano Karolína Plicková was born in Prague. She studied at the Prague Conservatory on the young talent department and continued her studies in opera, song and oratorio at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg  where she succesfully graduated in 2010. In 2004 Karolina made her debut as  Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) at the theatre in Karlovy Vary.

In 2007 she won the first prize at the European Song Contest at the festival Styriarte, Graz. One year later Karolina had the honor to perform at the opening concert at the same festival, under the baton of Columbian conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada.

During the 2016 season, Karolina  returned to the Pasinger Fabrik  as Hélène in Offenbach’s operetta LA BELLE HELENE. Between  2009-2013  Karolina was a regular ensemble member at the  Landestheater Salzburg, where she portrayed various principal characters,e.g. Susanna LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Ännchen DER FREISCHUTZ, the title role of the B.Marcello opera Arianna, Adina L’ELISIR D’AMORE, Zerlina DON GIOVANNI, Pamina DIE ZAUBERFLOTE, Ginevra ARIODANTE. In the 2010-2011 season she  received  a special audience award “Artist of the year” for her singing and acting qualities.  In the summer  of 2015, Karolina debuted as RUSALKA in Munich’s “Pasinger Fabrik”.
