Linsey Coppens

Belgian Mezzo-soprano Linsey Coppens was a member of the Operastudio at Staatsoper Stuttgart from 2022-2023. In the 2022/23 season her roles in Stuttgart will include Cherubino LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Wellgunde GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG, Rosina  IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA and Siegrune in DIE WALKÜRE.

Other recent engagements include Zweite Dame in DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE, Linetta DIE LIEBE ZU DREI ORANGEN and Ozias in Vivaldi JUDITHA TRIUMPHANS at Staatsoper Stuttgart, Siegrune DIE WALKÜRE at Nationaltheater Mannheim and Violet/Mary in Olga Neuwirth BAHLAMMS FEST. 

Concert Engagements include Bach Magnificat , and Christmas Oratorio, Duruflé Requiem, Handel Messiah, Rossini Stabat Mater and Petite Messe Solennelle, Vidaldi Credo, Gloria and Magnificat and Mendelssohn – Bartholdy Lauda Sion and Magnificat.

Ms. Coppens has been the recipient at numerous prizes at prestigious international singing competitions, including the House of Music Hungary prize at the “5th Éva Marton International Singing Competition” and the Van Riemsdijk Prize for best performance of the compulsory piece at the 55th Opera | Oratorio edition of the “International Singing Competition” in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. She was a finalist at the 2023 “Queen Elizabeth Singing Competition” in Brussels and a semi-finalist at the “Voix Nouvelle” competition in Paris. She was also a semi-finalist at the 2021 edition of „Operalia“ and the 11th International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal competition.

Ms. Coppens is a graduate of the Dutch National Opera Academy in Amsterdam. She received her Bachelor degree at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and her Master’s degree at the Frost school of music (University of Miami).
