Cuban-American soprano Natalie Rose Havens’ recent engagements include her debut in the soprano repertoire as Die Aufseherin/Die Vertraute ELEKTRA at Staatstheater Darmstadt. As a mezzo soprano Natalie’s engagement shave included Anita WEST SIDE STORY for Opera San Jose and Zerlina in a new production of DON GIOVANNI with DivAria Productions (NYC).
Third Lady THE MAGIC FLUTE with Orchestra Miami, Olga EUGENE ONEGIN with Utopia Opera (NYC) and Lola CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA with Boheme Opera. Natalie was a Festival Artist with Savannah VOICE Festival where she performed the role of Julia Child in the one-woman show Bon Appétit! written by Lee Hoiby.
In the 2018-2019 season she joined the Palm Beach Opera as a Benenson Young Artist singing the role of Flora LA TRAVIATA and singing and covering the role of Prince Orlofsky DIE FLEDERMAUS. Other engagements have included Mezzo in Philip Glass HYDROGEN JUKEBOX , the roles of Pastore 3 and Un Altro Spirito (while also covering La Messaggera, La Speranza, and La Musica) in the US premiere of Respighi’s setting of Monteverdi’s L’ORFEO both with Chautauqua Opera.
Natalie was The Marquise of Berkenfield in Opera North’s production of LA FILLE DU REGIMENT and sang the mezzo solo in Beethoven 9th Symphony with Dartmouth College Symphony Orchestra, a work she had previously sung with the Glacier Symphony Chorale.
Ms. Havens currently resides in New York City. She holds a B.M.E. from The Florida State University and a M.M. from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
